The best social media jailbreak tweaks for iOS 14

Fly Fly – $0.50

Interested in making your incoming Twitter notifications more exciting? If so, then Fly Fly is a good place to start.

The Fly Fly tweak accompanies incoming Twitter notification banners with a cute Twitter bird flyby effect. It’s a cool way to compel someone to ask you how you made that happen, and that’s one of the best ways to spread the word of jailbreaking with others

TWSafeSearch – FREE

If you’re worried about your Twitter search history coming back to haunt you for whatever reason, then a free jailbreak tweak dubbed TWSafeSearch could be worth looking into.

Once installed, the tweak prevents the Twitter app from logging your search history and auto-deletes anything you searched for previously. With a slate that clean, no one will ever know what you’ve been searching for in the Twitter app.

You can learn all about TWSafeSearch in our full review post.

Social Composer – $1.48

There was once a time when Apple provided its own widgets for composing Tweets and Facebook posts from iOS without ever having to launch the app. Then, Siri came along.

While things have certainly changed over the years, but if you want a full-featured social media composition interface that you can access anywhere from iOS, then Social Composer is your one-stop shop.

You can find everything you need to know about Social Composer and how it helps you compose status updates for your favorite social media platforms in our full review post.

Rhino – FREE

Instagram users who wish the app offered tools to save things they discover in their news feeds will love Rhino.

Zenith iOS 14 Fix – FREE

Zenith is one of my all-time favorite jailbreak tweaks because it lets me ‘stack’ app icons underneath another. It’s a great alternative to folders because sometimes you want something better looking on your Home Screen.

Unfortunately, Zenith doesn’t support iOS 14 out of the box, but a free jailbreak tweak called Zenith iOS 14 Fix makes it compatible.

You can learn more about Zenith iOS 14 Fix in our full review post.

Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: Brokepods, Locsim, & More…

If you’re using a jailbroken iPhone or iPad and you’re wondering what’s new in the community lately, then you’ve certainly come to the right place.

Every Sunday, today included, we go over all the latest jailbreak tweak releases and jailbreak-centric news from this past week. Today’s roundup will encompass all that content spanning the week of Monday, December 13th to Sunday, December 19th.

As always, we’ll begin this roundup with a discussion about our favorite releases first and then wrap things up with an outline of everything else afterward.

While things have been a little slower recently, we expect that this lull will end soon. So without further ado, let’s get started!

Our favorite releases this week BrokePods – FREE

Almost everyone is aware of the animation that comes across your iPhone’s screen when you bring a pair of AirPods close to it. But no such animation appears when you connect a pair of wired EarPods.

BrokePods is a simple jailbreak tweak that brings a similar animation to your pwned iPhone when connecting a pair of EarPods to your handset. It’s a simple gag add-on with no real functionality besides aesthetics, but it’s neat nonetheless.

You can read more about BrokePods in our full review post.

locsim – FREE

Location spoofing is a hallmark feature of jailbreaking, but it can be easy to get banned from your favorite apps for doing it.

The new locsim Terminal add-on performs location spoofing without tweak injection, so it can perform these actions more discreetly. While it’s not a guarantee not to get you in trouble with the app(s) you use, it’s still a way that you can spoof your location effectively.

You can read all about locsim and how it works in our full review and walkthrough post.

Other releases this week

InstagramSquareAvatars: Replaces the round avatar pictures in the Instagram app with square ones (free via level3tjg’s repository)

JodelLRD: A tweak for customizing the Jodel app (free via BigBoss repository)

TwitterSquareAvatars: Brings back the classic square-shaped avatars in the official Twitter app (free via level3tjg’s repository – review)

Everything else from this week

AltServer: The Mail Plugin used by the AltServer application for macOS was broken by Mail 15.0 and the macOS Monterey 12.1 update. It was later updated to version 1.4.8 with support.

Best Calculator Jailbreak Tweaks: We show you what we believe are some of the best jailbreak tweaks for upgrading the native Calculator app in iOS 14.

Fix iMessage Issues After Jailbreaking: I had problems with receiving iMessages on my checkra1n jailbreak, and this simple remedy fixed it for me.

Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: Autoscroll, Carbonite, Fisting, And More…

It’s a great time to be a jailbreaker, especially since there’s the checkra1n jailbreak can’t be patched and there are several other exploits looming in the wild for newer devices.

In this piece, we’ll discuss all the latest jailbreak tweaks released from Monday, January 27th to Sunday February 2nd. As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorite releases first and then wrap things up with an outline of the rest afterward.

Our favorite releases this week AutoScroll – $1.50

If you’re ever reading a lengthy web page or eBook, then you might experience something called finger fatigue where you simply get tired of scrolling.

A jailbreak tweak called AutoScroll solves this problem by implementing automatic scrolling into iOS. After beginning to scroll, your handset will continuously scroll at the same speed you scrolled. With three different speed settings, you can comfortably use this tweak as you need for any purpose you can think of.

You can learn more about AutoScroll in our full review.

Carbonite – $1.29

To many, the empty space in the Reachability interface seems like a complete and utter waste. That’s why a new jailbreak tweak called Carbonite sought to change that.

Once installed, Carbonite fills the empty area in the Reachability interface with useful toggles and shortcuts, making it easy to access controls that would otherwise be buried in iOS.

You can learn more about Carbonite and how it works in our full review.

Fisting – FREE

The Camera app is one of the most vital apps on your entire iPhone, and with the iPhone sporting one of the world’s greatest point-and-shoot cameras, it’s easy to see why.

If you find yourself struggling to get to the Camera app quickly when you need it, then a new jailbreak tweak called Fisting could help you out. It lets you use a ‘shake’ gesture from anywhere in iOS to get to your Camera interface quickly in a pinch.

You can learn more about Fisting and how it works in our full review.

Other releases this week

Providing fresh content is key to social media success, especially since 83% of people look for quality over quantity in social media posts. Keep your holiday social media posts as effective as possible this year by implementing these handy social media tips:

Know your social media post specs

Knowing the right image or video size is vitally important when crafting your social posts. The last thing you want is for your business’s social content to be awkwardly cropped, blurry, or unplayable.

Leverage your current followers

You don’t have to drive engagement with new followers alone. Leverage your followers to help you curate social content all year long. For example, you could run a photo or video contest or giveaway, and have your winner be featured on your page.

Have fun with it

A lasting lesson for this year that gets too often forgotten is to have fun! Social media is a haven for people to learn, connect, and socialize. Always be thinking about what your target audience might be looking for on social media. Whether it be a creative video, an easy-to-digest infographic, or a witty caption, unique social content will set your business apart from the competition.

Some Of The Best Productivity

In today’s roundup, we’ll discuss what we believe are some of the best jailbreak tweaks for boosting productivity on pwned iOS & iPadOS 14 devices. With them, you can get more done in less time with the help of a more intuitive user interface.

The best productivity jailbreak tweaks for iOS 14 KBPro – FREE

One of the ways you can be more productive while using your jailbroken iPhone running iOS 14 is to have improved access to common text-editing features, including but not limited to Cut, Copy, and Paste.

KBPro adds these important capabilities directly to the bottom of the keyboard on notched iPhones, a place usually filled with nothing but void.

You can read about KBPro and why it’s a recommended productivity tweak in our full review post.

Zetsu – FREE

Another important variable when considering how productive you are is your capacity to multitask, and iOS’ App Switcher doesn’t always cut it.

Zetsu is a rather intriguing jailbreak tweak that brings desktop-class windowed apps to any jailbroken iOS or iPadOS 14 device, allowing you to run apps side-by-side, resize the app windows, and minimize them on demand.

You can find out more about Zetsu and what you can do with it to boost your output in our full review post.

Pasithea 2 – $5.00

On the pricier side of any jailbreak tweak on this list is Pasithea 2, but it’s well worth the price if you do any sort of multitasking and demand maximum productivity.

With Pasithea 2, you can manage your iPhone or iPad’s clipboard history right from the keyboard user interface.

You can and should learn more about Pasithea 2 and what you can do with it in our full review post.

ipaddock14 – FREE

Another way that iPhones running iOS 14 can be made into more powerful productivity tools is with an add-on called ipaddock14.

You can find out more about ipaddock14 and why it’s a boost for productivity in our full review post.

SwipeExtenderX – $2.49

Wish you could do more right from the comfort of your iPhone’s keyboard? If so, then SwipeExtenderX could be just the jailbreak tweak for you.

This tweak adds dozens of new features as shortcuts directly to the keyboard, such as text insertion, selecting and deselecting text, undo and redo, deleting words, and so much more.

You can find out more about the capabilities brought forth by SwipeExtenderX in our full review post.

backgrunnr – FREE

Sometimes you need certain apps to continue working in the background in order for you to remain at peak productivity, and a jailbreak tweak called backgrunnr can help make that a possibility.

With backgrunnr, you call all the shots about how long an app can operate in the background while you use another app. That includes an expiration time, a Home Screen indicator, and tons of user-facing options to tune the experience how you need it.

You can find out more about backgrunnr and how it works in our full review post.

iPadSwitcher – FREE

Not ready to embrace full-fledged windowed multitasking on your iPhone just yet? Perhaps the next best thing is to at least get the iPad’s spacious and more omnipotent App Switcher ported over.

The iPadSwitcher tweak lets you view your App Switcher as a grid instead of a row of scrolling app preview cards.

You can find out more about iPadSwitcher in our full review post.

FreePIP – FREE

FreePIP enhances the Picture-in-Picture mode of supported devices by allowing users to pin the resizable picture-in-picture window anywhere they want, even outside of the confines of ‘snappy’ spots so that you can get it out of your way.

Ordinarily, the picture-in-picture window snaps into place and users have little control over where it sets apart from moving it to another snappy location.

You can read more about FreePIP and how it works in our full review post.

STRCounter – FREE

For those times when you’re trying to be as concise as possible during text input, STRCounter can help you keep track of the number of characters in any selected text string.

To use it, simple select whatever text you wish to query and then tap on the Counter button in the resulting pop-up menu.

You can read more about STRCounter and how it works in our full review post.

Little12 – FREE

Little12 is a free jailbreak tweak that can help users of older handsets be more productive by adding modern device device features to your older device.

Among the things you can enjoy with it are side-by-side app multitasking, improved productivity gestures, and a bevy of other configurable things.

You can read more about Little12 in our full review post.

Loupe – FREE

Apple did away with the text editing magnifying glass in iOS 14, and then brought it back again in iOS 15.

But if you’re jailbroken on iOS 14 as many are, then a free jailbreak tweak called Loupe simply brings the original magnifying glass back for your convenience, helping you to better see the text edits you’re making.

You can find out more about Loupe in our full review post.

How’d we do?
