Suggested January 2024 Productively Manage Multiple Windows Using Aquasnap

If you are on a Windows machine, you know there is a severe shortage of pre-installed applications to help you manage your open windows. The best you can do with most versions of Windows is minimize using the Windows button + M. Windows 7 has some better features to help.

Aside from looking pretty fancy, AquaSnap will dramatically increase productivity for those of you who work with multiple windows. Here is how it helps.

There is a couple of problems I know I always run into when working on a project that involves multiple windows to be open.

Constantly toggling back and forth between windows.

Needing to re-size windows to make several visible at the same time.

AquaSnap solves both of these deficiencies in the Windows OS along with other time-saving features.

While moving a window around the screen, the window being moved is automatically moved to the front. Because of the size and opacity of the window, you may not be able to see what is directly underneath.

If you activate the AquaGlass feature, the window you are moving will become see-through. You can choose how transparent the window is in the settings

The first is to minimize the alll of the windows other than the window you are shaking.

The second choice is to make the window you shake stay on top of all of the other windows.

If I could have my wish, I would like to do both. Maybe shake up and down to make the window stay in front and side-to-side to minimize the others.

AquaStretch is another time saving feature. The end result is similar to the AquaGlass feature. If you need to make the window stretch from top to bottom or side-to-side, simply drag the edge of the window to the top or side of the page.

AquaSnap lets you re-size windows to ½ or ¼ the normal size by dragging the screen to one of 8 places on the screen. Depending on where you drag it, the window will be instantly re-sized.

In the settings, you can choose between 3, 4or 8 locations on the screen to drag the windows to. You can also pick and choose the locations by selecting custom.

In the appearance tab, you can select a few different options to customize the look of the application. There is an option for changing the skin.

This personalization is not seen until you use a feature like AquaSnap. You will see the variation of the skin you have chosen when you drag the window to the edge of the screen, but before you release the mouse button.

Keyboard shortcuts

[ WIN + Arrow ] or [WIN + NUMPAD] for snapping.

[ Ctrl + WIN + Arrow ] or [ Ctrl + WIN + NUMPAD ] for stretching.

[ WIN + Return ] or [ WIN + NUMPAD_5 ] for unsnapping or maximizing.

[ WIN + Del] or [ WIN + NUMPAD_0] for minimizing.

[ WIN + Esc ] to close the window.

Adding these features to your Windows machine will surely add some productivity to your normal activities. I know I have had an easier time working since I have been using the AquaShake and AquaSnap features. They have become a big part of how I manage my open windows.

How do you productively handle multiple windows open on your screen?

Multiple Web Scraping Using Beautiful Soap Library

This article was published as a part of the Data Science Blogathon.

Introduction Objective

The purpose of the article is to take you through the process of python code which will automatically scrape the data from multiple web pages.

Sentiment analysis on the data scraped from websites. This part will not be discussed. Only the code will be provided at the end of the article.

Let’s dive in!

Steps to Perform Automated Web Scrapping for Amazon. In

In this tutorial I have web scraped reviews of HP 14s

Import Necessary Libraries

Beautiful Soup is a Python package for parsing HTML and XML documents. It creates a parse tree for parsed pages that can be used to extract data from HTML, which is useful for web scraping.

randint is a function of the random module in Python3. The random module gives access to various useful functions and one of them is able to generate random numbers.

# Importing necessary libraries for web scrapping import requests from bs4 import BeautifulSoup as bs from random import randint from time import sleep from itertools import repeat Create List to Collect the Desired Outcomes name= [] cust_name = [] titles = [] review_title = [] ratings = [] rate = [] reviews =[] review_content = [] Paste the Link of Product Reviews

The code line URLS is the line where you have to paste your reviews page number 2 link. The normal link of page number 2 will be like this :-

Required format :

for URL in URLS: for page in range(2,11): pages = requests.get(URL + str(page)) print(URL) print(URL + str(page)) print(pages) soup = bs(pages.content,'html.parser') names = soup.find_all('span',class_='a-profile-name') name.append(names) for i in range(0,len(names)): cust_name.append(names[i].get_text()) title = soup.find_all('a',class_='review-title-content') titles.append(title) for i in range(0,len(title)): review_title.append(title[i].get_text()) review_title[:] = [titles1.lstrip('n') for titles1 in review_title] review_title[:] = [titles1.rstrip('n') for titles1 in review_title] rating = soup.find_all('i',class_='review-rating') ratings.append(rating) for i in range(0,len(rating)): rate.append(rating[i].get_text()) review = soup.find_all("span",{"data-hook":"review-body"}) #print("***************************************************") #print(review) reviews.append(review) for i in range(0,len(review)): review_content.append(review[i].get_text()) review_content[:] = [reviews.lstrip('n') for reviews in review_content] review_content[:] = [reviews.rstrip('n') for reviews in review_content] #print("Customer names are ",cust_name) print(len(cust_name)) #print("Review Title is ",review_title) print(len(review_title)) #print("Number Ratings are ",rate) print(len(rate)) #print("Actual reviews are ",review_content) print(len(review_content))

In the image below you can see the list of urls of different review pages. — The HTTP 200 OK success status response code indicates that the request has succeeded. A 503 Service Unavailable Error is an HTTP response status code indicating that a server is temporarily unable to handle the request. Sometimes you won’t be able to scrape the content from all the urls or pages. So, you have to continue with the data collected from the URLs whose request succeeded or run the above code block multiple times or from different systems.

The values 85,60,72,90 in above figure indicate successful web scrape of:-

Customer Names — 85

Review Titles — 60

Reviews — 72

Ratings — 90

Import Libraries Required to Create the Dataframe

The bcode below shows the libraries required to create a data frame and how the list of outcomes were converted to 4 different dataframes and later merged to form a dataframe with columns viz Customer Name, Review title, Ratings, Reviews.

The result.shape shows that there are 90 rows and 4 columns in the dataframe.

#Importing libraries required to create the dataframe. import pandas as pd df1 = pd.DataFrame() df1['Customer Name']=cust_name df2 = pd.DataFrame() df2['Review title']=review_title df3 = pd.DataFrame() df3['Ratings']=rate df4 = pd.DataFrame() df4['Reviews']=review_content #df['Review title']=review_title #df['Ratings']=rate #df['Reviews']=review_content #df['Mobile Model']=modellist frames = [df1, df2, df3, df4] result = pd.concat(frames,axis=1) result.shape

(90, 4)

Review of Structured Data in Form of Dataframe result.tail(10)

Wherever the code was not able to gain the data for reviews, you will observe NaN written.

e.g for the 83rd data point, the code gained a customer name and review but was not able to gain a review title and rating as it might be absent on the website itself or the code failed to fetch it.

Data Pre-processing

To analyze the data using Natural Language Processing techniques, you need the data to be more structured. Therefore, clean the rows with invalid entries.

Earlier in step 3, you can see the shape of the dataframe was 90,4 and after pre-processing, the shape of the dataframe is 72,4. This means there were 18 rows with a null value in the rating column.

# Finding the count of reviews for each rating result['Ratings'].value_counts() #checking the null values in Rating Column result['Ratings'].isnull().sum() 18 result.isnull().sum() Customer Name 5 Review title 30 Ratings 18 Reviews 0 dtype: int64 #dropping the rows where rating value is null (NAN) result = result.dropna(axis=0, subset=['Ratings']) result.isnull().sum() Customer Name 0 Review title 12 Ratings 0 Reviews 0 dtype: int64 result.shape (72, 4) Conclusion

In this way, automated web scraping is performed to scrape the data from multiple pages of a website.

The following are the major key takeaways: –

You will be able to web scrape all the reviews of products listed on chúng tôi website.

This code will work for any product available on the website. There are many codes available in market which enable you to scrape the reviews only from one single page.

The speciality of the code below is it will enable user to web scrape the reviews for any product and for all its pages. (e.g If the user searches Samsung S20 FE 5G and finds that there are a total of 400 reviews available and are distributed on 10 pages, then this code will scrape all the reviews from all the 10 pages).

How To Run Multiple Dropbox Accounts In Windows 10

As far as cloud storage is concerned, Dropbox is one of the first services that will come to mind. Unfortunately, it could be really expensive once you have used up the free storage allocated. It even gets more complicated because you can normally not have multiple accounts on one machine unless you pay for the pricey business package.

For whatever the reason you may be requiring the use of multiple Dropbox accounts on one PC, these are workarounds to run multiple Dropbox accounts in Windows 10.

Using the Website

This could be a first stop and one of the easy solutions to running multiple Dropbox accounts in Windows 10. This will require that you run your primary account on your desktop.

For the secondary account, visit the Dropbox website from any of your browsers in incognito mode. Next, sign in with your secondary account. Using this method, you will be given access to all your data and files and the ability to add new folders.

Alternatively, you can use apps like Franz or Rambox to turn the Dropbox website into a desktop app.

Using Shared Folders

This method is preferable if you are using multiple accounts constantly. It requires you to follow the below steps:

1. Log in to the official Dropbox website with the secondary account and select the “New Shared folder.”

3. You have to grant access to your primary email by adding it under the “To” and selecting the “Can Edit” button.

4. Finally, select “Share,” then return to your primary email, open the new email and tap the “Go to Folder” to confirm activation.

Using Multiple Windows Logins

This may be the best of the mentioned methods for running multiple Dropbox accounts in Windows 10. You will need to follow these steps:

1. The first step is to make sure you have a second Windows account. Create one if it does not already exist.

2. Log in to your main account, then use hotkeys Win + L to switch and log into the secondary account.

3. In the new account download and install Dropbox.

4. Once this is done, switch Windows again to your primary account using hotkey Win + L.

6. Inside this folder scroll down to the Dropbox folder to find access to all your files from your secondary Dropbox account.

While there may not be the allowance for multiple Dropbox accounts on Windows 10, a few hacks can still help you store more while not having to budget any money for cloud storage. You can pick any of these options depending on which you are more comfortable with.

How To Add Multiple Clocks In Windows 11? – Webnots

Methods to Add Multiple Clocks in Windows 11

Follow one of the below methods depending upon the type of clock and the way you want to access.

#1. Using Windows 11 Settings App

This is an easy way to add two additional clock display on top of the existing taskbar clock. Though it is a simple text display, you do not need to use any apps and is also easy to access.

Open Adjust Date and Time Settings

Additional Clocks Settings in Windows 11

It will open “Date and Time” dialog box and you will see options to add two additional clocks under “Additional Clocks” tab.

Enable first “Show this clock” checkbox option and select the time zone from the dropdown. After that provide the name for your clock like the city name so that you can understand easily. For example, I select UTC+0 time zone and give the display name as London.

Additional Clocks Option in Windows 11

Similarly, select the second “Show this clock” checkbox and provide the details. I select UTC+4 time zone and enter the name as Santiago.

Enable Two Clocks and Set Time Zones

Now, simply hover your mouse over the taskbar clock and you will see all three clocks (local time, London and Santiago).

Hover to See Additional Clocks in Taskbar

#2. Using Windows 11 Clock App

Though the above method is simple, the problem is that the text display is too small and there are no options to increase the clock’s text size. You can only increase the text size of the entire system and not only for the clocks. So, the next option is to use the default Clock app which has better user interface and visual map to show unlimited additional clocks.

Search and open Clock app.

Open Clock App in Windows 11

The app has multiple options like timer, alarm, stopwatch and go to “World Clock” option. It will show your current city’s clock by default along with a pin on the map.

Similarly, you can add multiple city clocks and view them all in single place.

The comparison shows the hourly time zone chart for all the added cities. You can change the date or scroll on the time bar to compare any other specific time / date.

Delete Added City in Clock App

#3. Using WorldOClock App

The last option is to a third-party app called WorldOClock to add multiple clocks in Windows 11.

Open Microsoft Store and search for “world clock”.

Find and install WorldOClock app.

Install WorldOClock App in Windows 11

Add New City Clock in WorldOClock App

Selected city’s clock will be added under “Clocks” section in the app.

Multiple City Clocks Added in WordOClock App

Pin or Delete Clock in WorldOClock App

Note that “Pin the clock” option though works in Windows 11 to add the tile in Start menu, it does not show the time. It will be useful on Windows 10 Start menu where it can show the time on the tile.

Final Words

Using default Windows Settings app is the easy way to add two more clocks in the taskbar. Alternatively, you can use the World Clock option in Clock app for better visual appearance. If in-built options do not work for you, then try third-party apps like WorldOClock to have unlimited clock tiles in single place. If you prefer to use Clock or third-party app, it’s a good idea to pin the app to taskbar for quick access.

6 Ways To Post Multiple Photos On Instagram: You Can Still Select Multiple Pictures

Instagram made some changes recently to how you add or select multiple photos for a post. Naturally, a lot of people started wondering why Instagram won’t let me post multiple photos but worry not, we have got everything covered here. If you are looking to add more than one photo on an Instagram story but are finding the multiple pictures selection button missing or gone, then here is a small trick you need to use to be able to select multiple photos for your Instagram story.

All the fancy gimmicks aside, the core driver of Instagram’s popularity has been its minimalist scrollable feed, populated with posts from your friends and people you follow. Posting pictures and videos on the feed is how people share snippets of their lives and connect with each other.

Posting a single photo is easy enough. But if there are multiple photos, posting them one by one can feel nothing short of drudgery. Posting a flurry of photos doesn’t just ruin an otherwise well-maintained feed, but it also brings one dangerously close to spam territory.

A better alternative is to post all those pictures as a single post. Here are all the ways you can upload multiple photos to a post, be it from the app or from your PC.

Did Instagram remove multiple photos?

No, you can easily add multiple photos to your Instagram post or story. But yes, the button to select multiple photos is undergoing some change — like it or not.

On iPhone, the multiple button is now gone but as of now (May 23, 2023), on Android, it’s ever-present. But don’t worry, you can simply tap and hold on any image of yours to get the multiple selection back. We have got it all covered below, so jump to the first guide below to learn about adding multiple photos on your Instagram post.

How to post multiple photos on an Instagram post from the app

Adding multiple photos to a single post doesn’t just keep things simple for you but also your followers whose feeds the post is going to appear in.  Here’s how you can do so from the app.

Method #1: From the main Instagram feed screen

The first method is the easiest native method to add multiple photos to a post. Open Instagram and tap on the ‘+‘ icon at the top left corner.

Swipe to get to the Post tab at the bottom of the screen.

Here, tap on Select multiple. If you find the Multiple button missing on your device, then simply tap and hold any of image of yours to get the multiple selection back. Yes, it’s a tad hidden now.

This will add a little circle at the corner of the photos, allowing you to pick multiple photos for your post. Tap on the photos that you want to add.

The photos will be added depending on the number that is associated with them. But you can always unselect/select and move the order around.

Once you’re done selecting, tap on the arrow at the top right corner.

On the next screen, you can add filters to your images.

To get more edit options, tap on the white circle on a photo.

Here, under the “Edit” tab, you have a variety of options to adjust and give the image final touches.

When done with editing, tap on the tick at the top right corner.

Swipe left/right to get to other images and edit them if you want. Once done, tap on the right arrow at the top.

Now you can write a caption, tag people, and add location as you prefer. Then, to finally post, tap on the tick at the top right corner.

And that’s it, your post with multiple pictures is up.

Method #2: From your Profile page

The other way to post multiple pictures is available on your Profile page. Tap on your profile icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Here, tap on the ‘+‘ icon next to your username at the top.

Tap on Feed Post.

Now, you will get the same screen that lets you pick multiple pictures at once. From here on out, the steps to post multiple pictures are the same as in the previous step.

Method #3: Create a collage with Instagram’s Layout app

Adding multiple pictures to a post is easy enough once you know the steps. But what if you want to create a collage with multiple pictures on a single image? Instagram Stories have a ‘Layout’ option that lets one do so. But there’s no such option for posts.

There is, however, Instagram’s Layout app which can be used to that effect.

Once the app is installed, with Gallery highlighted at the bottom, tap on the photos that you want to make a collage out of. A maximum of 9 photos can be added to a single layout.

Now, it’s time to choose the layout. Drag the layout window down to expand it slightly. Then swipe left to see the layouts available to you. When you find the one that you like, tap on it.

This will lead to the Edit screen where you’ll be able to replace your photos, mirror, flip and give them a border.

Once done, tap on Save at the top right corner. The collage will be saved to your Camera Roll.

Tap on Instagram.

Then Feed.

Now, you’ll be redirected to Instagram’s New Post page. Tap on the arrow at the top right corner.

The steps from here on out are the same as before. So go ahead and edit and post your photos as you normally would.

How to post multiple photos on an Instagram post from PC

Although Instagram doesn’t let users post photos and stories from the desktop, there are a couple of ways that unlock that potential. A simple way to add photos on PC is by enabling DevTools of your browser. But as it only lets you add a single picture at a time, we have to look elsewhere. The following are a few ways to add multiple photos to a post from your desktop.

Method #1: With Facebook Creator Studio

Posting pictures through the Facebook Creator Studio method requires you to have the following:

Facebook account

Facebook page

Instagram Creator or Business Account (steps mentioned below).

Facebook page connected to your Instagram (steps given below).

If you meet these requirements, then you can go ahead and use Facebook Creator Studio for Instagram. Fret not if you don’t have a Creator or Business account, or don’t know how to connect your Facebook page to it. The steps for these two are given below.

Then log in to your Instagram. If you don’t have a creator or business account, you will be asked to switch to it.

Switch to Instagram Creator or Business Account

To do so, open the Instagram app, tap on the profile icon at the bottom right.

Then tap on the three horizontal lines at the top right.

Tap Settings.

Then Account.

Scroll down and tap on Switch to Professional Account.

When you get to the Creator page, select either “Creator” or “Business”. Then tap Next.

Connect Facebook page to Instagram

Once you’re the creator, you will have to link your Facebook page to your Instagram. For this, tap on your Profile icon on Instagram.

Then tap Edit Profile.

Under “Profile Information”, tap on Page.

Tap Connect an Existing Page.

Check the two linked accounts, then tap Continue to set up the Accounts Centre.

Once the Accounts Centre is set up, select your Facebook page and tap Done.

Select Instagram feed from the list.

Then choose From file upload.

Method #2: Schedule your post with Facebook Creator Studio

Using the Facebook Creator Studio also lets you schedule your Instagram post for later. This is especially useful for posts with multiple pictures as they tend to be more thought out and deliberate. It also lets you create the post now and have it published at a later, more propitious, time.

Method #3: Using third-party applications for desktop

Leave it to third-party developers to solve problems that cannot be solved natively. There are a few applications that let you post pictures and videos from a PC, regardless of whether or not you have a creator’s account or a Facebook page. Here is a couple of them that you may want to try out:

Later (PC and Mac)

‘Later‘ is a web-based application that lets you add and schedule your Instagram posts straight from your PC as well as your mobile. For carousel posts, however, you will have to get a paid plan. Also, since this is basically a scheduler app that works via push notifications, you will have to download its mobile app as well.

Uplet (Mac only)

Uplet is available exclusively for Mac users. It lets you edit and upload multiple photos from your computer and is super easy to use. Simply download Uplet, log in to your Instagram, and get started.

Download: Uplet

How many photos can you add to one post?

Currently, Instagram only lets you add no more than 10 photos to a post. That means it doesn’t matter how you’re adding photos to your carousel posts, you’ll always be limited to 10 pictures. Also, you might want to keep in mind that once a post is up, you won’t be able to add more photos to it. So if you want to add multiple photos to a post, make sure you get them all in before you hit “Post” or “Publish”.

These were all the ways that you could post multiple photos or a carousel post on Instagram. Though there are some other ways to do so as well, they don’t let you post multiple pictures to a post at once and so have been avoided purposefully. Either way, we hope that you’re able to do so on both your phone as well as your computer.

Using Airdrop On Your Android And Windows 10

When writing posts, I often need to send screenshots from my phone to my laptop so I can use them in my articles. It would be great to have Apple’s AirDrop on my Android phone so I can send the photos quickly and easily.

Unfortunately, AirDrop only works on Apple platforms. They have never branched out and developed the technology for other platforms like Windows and Android. However, you can find substitutions that will work in the same way on PC and Android. You can also send files between two Windows machines as AirDrop does between two Macs.

Airdrop Alternative: Snapdrop

If you need to send files between a mobile device and a PC, you can use Snapdrop. Snapdrop is a file-sharing platform that has been available since 2023. It allows the transfer of files between any two devices, regardless of the operating system (including Apple products). All that is necessary is having both devices on the same network.

Snapdrop is great for most files, but larger files may not work as well. You also need a good Wi-Fi to send data successfully.

2. Do this on your PC and mobile.

3. Once both devices are connected, an icon for the other device will appear on the screen.

4. To send a file, tap on the icon representing the device you want to send the data to.

6. Accept the transfer on the other device.

That’s all it takes. Your file will usually transfer within seconds!

Windows 10 Nearby Sharing

If you want to share files between two Windows PCs on the same network, you can use the Nearby sharing option available in Windows 10. It works much like AirDrop but only works between PCs, not on any mobile devices. It uses a combination of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to send the files quickly.

To use Nearby sharing, the two computers must be connected to the same network, have a Windows update of at least 1803, and have Bluetooth turned on. You can select in your settings who you want to receive files from, but you will still have to accept each file they send separately.

Once the setting is enabled:

1. Go to the file you want to share.

3. Select Share.

5. You’ll see “Sharing to [PC name]” while your PC is waiting for the other PC to accept the share request.

8. The sending PC will then send the file to the receiving PC. The transfer may take some time. It depends on the size of the file and the speed of the Bluetooth connection.

While AirDrop isn’t coming to those of us preferring Android or Windows any time soon, there are other options to have a similar experience. And soon, Google will be releasing its version of a wireless file-sharing app called Fast Share. This app will replace the Android Beam feature that is not efficient and rarely used.

If you haven’t tried these methods of file sharing before, give them a look, and let us know what you think!
