iPhone 7 release level leak is Apple’s biggest yet
The biggest leak of the iPhone 7 appears this week in a hands-on and first impressions video from the UK. Both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus appear to be here side-by-side, both in Rose Gold to boot. This is just one of a set of hands-on videos – there’s also a comparison between the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 7 as it exists in prototype stage hardware. While these products may look like final release-day hardware, there’s know knowing for certain before that release day actually comes.
The first video you’re going to see shows two prototypes. Filming this video is SuperSaf TV from the UK – they have no illusions about these being prototypes, and say as much throughout the video. What’s important here is SuperSaf TV’s link to Sonny Dickson, notorious leakster of Apple products and one that’s been relatively on-point for the past several years.
Notice the distinctive lack of “Smart Connector” on this iPhone 7 Plus. Previous leaks suggested that such a connector would be in place on this device rather than on the supposed iPhone 7 Pro (or just iPhone Pro) rumored for release inside 2023. That’d be the 10th anniversary of the release of the original iPhone, and a perfect place to put such a monster.
Both of the devices above are Rose Gold – or a reasonable facsimile as such. Next you’re going to see SuperSaf TV use another prototype to compare to the iPhone 6s. This comparison should give you an OK idea of what the upgrade may be like.

You’ll notice that the display is said to get a fairly large upgrade – though that’s probably the least likely change of all. Apple could well just stick with the display they have now and they’d still sell millions of units.
The processor will have to get a bit more powerful – a next-generation A10 chip, with another GB of RAM for good measure. Internal storage sizes likely won’t change, and the frontside camera will likely stay similar, but get a bit wider a lens.
The back-facing camera will also likely remain a similar size (megapixels) but will have optical image stabilization and improved image processing with the new A10 chip. The headphone jack will be axed – more than likely.

If the Huawei P30 Pro was meant to be a surprise, someone messed up. Huawei’s next massive thriller of a smartphone’s been leaked today in the form of a couple videos and photos, too. The Huawei P30 Pro looks to confirm rumored specifications like a 6.47-inch display, or for the non-Pro model a 6.1-inch display. Both devices have Android 9 Pie, almost certainly, and HuSilicon Kirin 980 7nm processors with Octa-core (2×2.6 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2×1.92 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G76 MP10 GPU.
The differences between the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, as rumored thus far, are actually pretty significant. It’s been tipped that the P30 has a flatter display with a bezel around the edge, while the Pro has a display similar to that of a Galaxy S8 or Note, with cascading left and right sides. Both devices have a single front-facing camera with a half-circle notch.
The new Huawei P30 Pro was tipped to come with a 6.47-inch display, which is larger than the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, which has a 6.4-inch display. The Galaxy S10 Plus has an AMOLED display with more pixels than its new competitor, with 1440 x 3040 pixels on its panel making a 522 PPI pixel density. The Huawei P30 Pro has just 1080 x 2340 pixels giving it a 398 PPI pixel density.
The Huawei P30 was shown in a video and tipped to come with a set of three cameras on its back, including a 40 MP camera with f/1.8 aperture and 27mm (wide) lens, a 16 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and 16mm (ultrawide) lens, and a 8 MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and 80mm (telephoto) lens. The Pro model is said to come with a sort-of similar setup, but with better bits on every lens, plus TOF.
The Huawei P30 Pro was tipped to have the following cameras:
• 40 MP, f/1.6, (wide), 1/1.7″, PDAF/Laser AF, OIS
• 20 MP, f/2.2, 16mm (ultrawide), 1/2.7″, PDAF/Laser AF
• 8 MP (Periscopic), f/3.4, 80mm (telephoto), 1/4″, 5x optical zoom, OIS, PDAF/Laser AF
• TOF 3D scanner camera
Both models are tipped to come with 32MP cameras up front with f/2.0 aperture and HDR video capture at 1080p at 30fps. Headphone jack business is a little strange – the non-pro is tipped to come with a headphone jack, but the Pro model is NOT sporting a headphone jack, as the leaked video tips – though that seems overly strange, don’t you think?
Pricing on the Huawei P30 Pro was rumored in recent weeks to be almost exactly that of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus – give or take a hundred dollars. That means approximately $1000 or $1100 in total. The Pro model is likely coming in Black, Ice White, Aurora Blue, and Sunrise Red. The non-pro model was tipped to roll in Twilight, Black, Midnight Blue, and Pink Gold.
The reveal date for these devices is almost certainly March 26, 2023. There’s an event set for Paris, France, the most fanciest of locations to reveal a new smartphone. The release date for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro is rumored to be Friday, April 5th, 2023, inside the UK. We’ll likely see this set of phones released internationally soon thereafter.

These notifications ask Windows users to save the work and shut down the computer or connect the laptop to a power source or change the battery. If you have a laptop with higher battery storage capacity, then 9% means that you can use it longer compared to other laptops which have lesser battery capacity. E.g., 9% of 5000 mAh is greater than 9% of 3000 mAh capacity.

If you set the percentage to 0 or 1, you might not have enough time before the battery hits Critical Level which will shut down the computer or take appropriate action—Hibernate, Shut down, Sleep. Hibernation is the best option as it will be a lot faster, save your work and save battery for a longer duration.
Now that you have a clear understanding of both levels adjust it accordingly, make sure to save work, and shut down the computer timely. It’s not a good idea to drain the battery below 10% every time nor you should keep plugged in all the time.

The new 2023 Toyota Supra isn’t due to make its official, out-of-camouflage debut until the Detroit Auto Show 2023 next month, but that hasn’t stopped the clearest images of the coupe yet from leaking – and from a very unexpected source. The curvy two-door is the result of a collaboration between Toyota and BMW, though the automakers promise that the new Supra will be a different beast behind the wheel from the new Z4 it shares its architecture with.
Exactly how true that turns out to be will have to wait until we can actually drive the 2023 Supra to test. However it’s clear from this latest set of images of the car that the stying is very different.
Oddly enough, we have Toyota itself to thank for these new images. Specifically, Toyota Germany, which for a brief period was sending out unmasked shots of the new Supra to those signing up to its mailing list. The mistake has been corrected, but of course the internet forgets nothing, and the images have been shared.
If you thought the rounded rump of the 2023 Supra was inspiring earlier this week, you’re probably going to think positively about the car in its entirety. Certainly, the general opinion over at the SupraMKV forums where the glitch was first reported is good. These are most likely still renders, rather than a full photoshoot, but they’re more than enough to see how the new car fits together.
While you can certainly see some of the Z4 in the car’s proportions, the Supra does come into its own. The rear is much more sculpted than BMW’s car, with the integrated ducktail spoiler neatly offset by the slicing vent lines that run down the rear of the fenders. At the front, there are clear signs of the Toyota FT-1 concept’s influence in the lower splitter and spoiler. The clustered lights with their sweeping daytime running light strip are also pure FT-1.
It’s the roofline that, we suspect, might divide opinion. The difference in angle between the profile of the side window versus the arch of the roof itself looks a little strange from the front three-quarters, with hints of Nissan GT-R. It works better from the rear, and the dividends are probably more headroom inside the Supra than you might expect.
What the leak isn’t clearing up is just how much the 2023 Supra will cost. Previous chatter – shaped, it has to be said, by the price tag BMW’s Z4 is expected to carry – has suggested Toyota could apply a premium to the Supra, something fans are hoping won’t be the case. Toyota has long needed a serious sports car in its line-up, but giving it too premium a sticker might price it out of contention.

As yet there are no definitive details on the AirPods Pro 2 design, but between the predictions of Ming-Chi, plus the undisclosed sources of 9to5Mac, the following are probable inclusions.
Form factor
There’s been conflicting reports about the form factor of the AirPods Pro 2, with Ming-Chi Kuo positing earlier in 2023 that he thought a full redesign was likely, with the end product looking more like the in-ear Beats Fir Pro from 2023 – a more aerodynamic appearance without the current ‘stem’ section.
More recently however 52audio leaked an image (shown below) that was apparently of the new AirPods Pro 2, looking much the same as the previous one, except with different ear tips. It pays to be a tad skeptical about such things, however, the site was right in the past when it came to predicting the AirPods 3 design ahead of release.
The current audio processor from Apple is the H1 chip, and the AirPods Pro 2 are likely to see an updated version of this processor. This new chip should allow LC3 codec support, meaning improved sound quality for both music and voice calls, as well as greater stability, power efficiency, and Bluetooth 5.2 support.
ALAC lossless support
Apple Lossless Audio Codec, or ALAC for short, is Apple’s proprietary audio compression technology, that enables the user to enjoy music with absolutely no loss of data and therefore audio quality, compared to the original recording. For this reason, it obviously takes up more bandwidth/storage space on your device. Up until now, this hasn’t been possible on Bluetooth earphones, but it’s thought that the AirPods Pro 2 will be the first to change this.
Will the AirPods Pro 2 support Lighting or USB-C ports?
Again there’s been conflicting reports on this matter. In the tweet below you can see that Ming-Chi Kuo has stated his belief that the charging case of the AirPods Pro 2 will continue to support Lightning connection, rather than upgrading to USB-C.
However, 9to5Mac have stated that USB-C connection will be a reality for the new wireless earbuds. We should know soon enough one way or another.

Despite previous rumors about various fitness tracking features the AirPods Pro 2, such as a heart sensor, oxygen meter, and body temperature reader from inside the ear, Mr. Mark Gurman has thrown cold water on this idea. We may see these features in the future, as apparently, Apple is exploring them, but not for this generation.
AirPods Pro 2 price prediction
It’s been a good while since the last AirPods Pro were released (October 2023 to be exact), so we can’t expect the AirPods Pro 2 to cost the same amount as these did upon release i.e. $249 / £249 (Gad daymn inflation).
iDropnews estimates the price at anywhere between $249 – $299, and we think something closer to the latter number is the most likely.

Apple AirPods Pro 2 name?
There’s been some talk about whether or not the AirPods Pro 2 will actually be called ‘the AirPods Pro 2’. Alternative names doing the rounds online are ‘SoundPods’ and ‘AudioPods’, but these are completely baseless and unlikely in our opnion (not least because they sounds a bit naff and redundant). Ultimately the name AirPods Pro 2 is by far the most likely, as it fits into Apple’s existing naming conventions and is a well-known brand.

Apple November Event Preview: Apple Silicon Macbook Air And Pro, Big Sur Release, More
Apple’s third event in as many months has officially arrived. After previous events focused on iPad, Apple Watch, and iPhone, Apple’s November 10 event will likely focus on the Apple Silicon transition in the Mac lineup.
Read on as we round up everything you need to know ahead of the “One more thing” later today.
When is the Apple Silicon November event?The Apple Silicon Mac event will take place on November 10 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. It will be completely virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, much like the Apple Watch event in September and the iPhone 12 event last month. We expect a pre-recorded video from Apple Park, featuring Tim Cook and a handful of other Apple executives.
You’ll be able to live stream the event through Apple’s website, on YouTube, and through the Apple TV application.
Apple SiliconAgain, the focus of the November 10 event will almost certainly be on Apple’s plans to transition the Mac lineup to Apple Silicon processors. Apple first announced its plans for this transition back at WWDC in June, and the company even teased that the first Apple Silicon Mac would launch to customers in 2023.
Currently, Apple uses Intel processors in the Mac lineup, but this is not the first time Apple has transitioned the Mac to a new processor architecture. In fact, Apple first publicly announced its plans to transition away from PowerPC processors in the Mac to Intel processors back in 2005 at WWDC.
With Apple Silicon, Apple will have more control over their timeline and production of the processors used in the Mac. It’s no secret that the relationship between Apple and Intel has soured over the last several years as the chipmaker faced multiple production delays, thereby also affecting the Mac lineup.
And of course, Apple has shown its prowess in creating its own processors over the years with the iPhone and iPad. Now, it will bring those same processors to the Mac.
Apple’s first round of ARM Macs are believed to be based on the same A14 architecture as seen in the iPad Air and iPhone 12. However, the processors will be optimized for the larger thermal windows and power characteristics of laptops. In fact, back in April, Bloomberg said that the first ARM Mac chip would feature a 12-core design
Here’s what we expect to see first.
13-inch MacBook ProMost recently, Bloomberg reported that one of the first Apple Silicon Macs will be a new version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro. This was also reported by the reliable yet cryptic leaker on Twitter L0vetodream and corroborated by Ming-Chi Kuo.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon is expected to look largely similar to the current 13-inch MacBook Pro. That is, we should not expect any dramatic redesigns with this year’s MacBook Pro update. Reports currently indicate that we could get a new, redesigned 14-inch MacBook Pro in 2023.
More details about what to expect from this new MacBook Pro are unclear right now, but we’ll learn more from Apple on Tuesday.
New MacBook AirBloomberg, Kuo, and L0vetodream have also reported that one of the first Apple Silicon Macs will be a new 13-inch MacBook Air. This would again be a new MacBook Air with a design similar to the current MacBook Air, but with Apple Silicon inside.
Apple Silicon could be especially drastic in the small and slim form factor of the MacBook Air, offering improved battery life, performance, and thermal capabilities.
Other Mac hardware announcementsOther than those two Mac announcements, Apple is also reportedly developing a new 16-inch MacBook Pro. It’s unclear, however, whether this machine will be announced during Tuesday’s event. It could be coming in early 2023 instead since it is more powerful and includes a dedicated GPU.
Other reports have suggested that Apple could introduce a new 12-inch MacBook as one of its first Apple Silicon Macs. The more power-efficient Apple Silicon chips would reportedly be able to provide 15-20 hours of battery life to a machine like this.

Apple is also reportedly developing a new iMac, new Mac mini, and new Mac Pro. None of these desktop updates are expected to be announced during Tuesday’s event, and you should keep in mind that Apple has said it will take around 2 years to transition the entire Mac lineup to Apple Silicon.
macOS 11 Big SurDuring Tuesday’s event, Apple is likely to announce the release date for macOS 11 Big Sur. Apple first introduced Big Sur during WWDC 2023 and it’s the sole software update announced at WWDC that has not yet been released to the public.

For Apple Silicon Macs, the introduction of macOS 11 Big Sur will also include the ability to run iPad and iPhone apps on the Mac. We expect Apple to spend a considerable amount of time talking about this during Tuesday’s event, including demonstrations of popular iPhone and iPad apps running on the first Apple Silicon Macs.
Other possibilitiesOutside of the Apple Silicon transition for the Mac, there are a few other possibilities of things Apple could announce during its November event, though some of them are looking unlikely.
AirPods Studio
Reports have long been circulating suggesting that Apple will soon launch its own pair of over-ear headphones. These are believed to exist separately from the Beats brand and offer features such as head and neck detection, custom equalizer settings, and more.
9to5Mac has also found evidence of so-called AirPods Studio in the leaked iOS 14 beta code, including assets showing at least two color options for the new accessory. As for the price, rumors suggest that they will cost $349 for a lower-end “Sport” variant and up to $599 for a “luxury” version made from leather and metal.
A recent report from Bloomberg indicated that AirPods Studio are delayed due to production issues with the design. The headphones were reportedly set to go into production several weeks ago, but mass production was said to have been delayed. This could mean AirPods Studio aren’t actually released to the public until sometime in 2023.
AirTags
For more than a year, rumors have indicated that Apple is developing its own Tile-like item trackers. In June 2023, 9to5Mac reported on assets within iOS 13 that referenced a product type “Tag1,1.” Since then, 9to5Mac discovered evidence of the “AirTags” name and references even appeared in a video published by Apple itself.
We initially expected AirTags to be released during the iPhone 11 event last year, then at WWDC 2023, then during Apple’s September event this year. Most recently, leaker Jon Prosser indicated that AirTags could be announced during the November event.

New Apple TV
Apple is also reportedly working on a new Apple TV and a new Siri remote. Evidence of a new Apple TV hardware refresh has been circling around in iOS code for a while, and a report recently indicated that one of the changes will be a faster chip for improved gaming performance.
As for the new Apple TV remote, Bloomberg has suggested that one of the upgrades will be support for the Find My application. This will make it easier for people to locate a remote when it goes missing in the house. Whether or not other improvements are also in store for the controversial Siri remote remains to be seen.
It’s possible that the new Apple TV is introduced during its November event, but it could also be saved for later this year or early next year.
Apple November event wrap-upAs you can see, Apple’s plans are seemingly to start the Apple Silicon transition slowly, and without major drastic changes to the rest of the Mac lineup. The transition will likely start with the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Reports indicate that more dramatic changes could be one the way sometime in 2023 and beyond, including updates to models like the Mac mini, iMac, and Mac Pro.
