Suggested January 2024 How To Integrate Instagram Into WordPress
Instagram is really popular, but it is mostly restricted to your mobile devices. What if you want to view it online or add it to your WordPress blog? Here is how you can do it.
insta.SHOWinsta.SHOW is a WordPress plugin that allows you to display a running slide show of the images in your Instagram account. You need the Instagram login info of the account you’d like to display. The configuration options let you choose the number of images to display, the size of the text and the size of the images. Anywhere you’d like to add the slideshow, you can insert the shortcode “[instagram]” and the slide show will be added.
InstapressInstapress is a more full featured Instagram plugin for WordPress. Instapress gives a lot of different options to add your Instagram images to different places in your site. You can add them as a widget, in a post or a page or even add it as part of your WordPress template.
The widgets and shortcodes can be configured to better suit your needs. What’s nice about Instapress is you aren’t limited to your own Instagram account feed. There is the choice to show other peoples feeds, popular feeds or even images with a specific tag.
Instagrate to WordPressInstagrate to WordPress has a feature a little different than what the others on the list offer. The big deal here is, you can configure Instagrate to WordPress ahead of time and then go out and take pictures. When you use Instagram to capture a moment in time, the new picture will be published as a new blog post. Having this kind of plugin will save you a ton of time. You won’t need to take the image, attach it to a blog post then publish it, you can automate the process.
One of the fears I had was not wanting every single Instagram image show up as a blog post. In the settings, it is possible to have the default post be set as a draft instead of publish automatically.
Final thoughtsFor a personal site or even if you travel places for the work, adding in images to show where you’ve been really helps people connect with you. Adding a running slide show to your websites sidebar or posts displaying your recent Instagram images can be a simple way for you to add content to your site too.

How To Integrate Flipgrid With Canvas
One cannot deny that 2023 has been a rough year, and we’re sure teachers will agree. LMS systems like Canvas and Flipgrid have begun dominating teaching methods in an attempt to create an authentic classroom experience until it’s safe to go back to schools again. While the transition to these LMS systems has been easy-breezy for some, there are those who are still getting the hang of this software, learning on the job, and well-adjusted to the struggle of learning tech that is unfamiliar, unchartered territory. Despite how real the struggle is, we assure you that it will not just get better, but you’ll even become savvy enough to bring more creativity and innovation to your teaching technique.
Canvas is one of the most popular LMS systems, almost along the lines of SeeSaw in terms of features but even more nuanced and thorough in its integration of other tools like Flipgrid, Drive, Google Classroom, Padlet and so much more. The Canvas UI is not restricted to schools either. If you’re in university or even a professional who’s pursuing a course for that matter, you will surely find Canvas useful. For this article, we’ll look at how educators can integrate Flipgrid into Canvas.

How to integrate Flipgrid with Canvas
Wanting to mix-n-match different LMS systems is not a new phenomenon. No LMS is perfect, however, perfection is achievable if you can mix the right cocktail of solutions to create a wonderful teaching experience. So it’s understandable that while Flipgrid is not able to organize courses as thoroughly and comprehensively as Canvas does, it can be used as part of Canvas, bringing to Canvas the visual teaching aid and consolidating the best of both worlds in one single place.
Before we proceed, make sure that you are logged into both your Flipgrid and Canvas accounts.
Once you’ve done this, you will the integration added to the page like so:
You will be able to see the navigation Panel for the selected course.
How to embed Flipgrid to Navigation Panel
Go to the Settings menu for Courses again from the navigation panel.
This time, in the Settings menu, go to the Navigation panel.
You need to drag FlipGrip from the section which contains items that are hidden from students to the section that they will normally see in the navigation panel.
Select Flipgrid and move it to the course navigation menu. You will notice that when it becomes part of the navigation panel, the Page disabled disclaimer also goes away.
Now, you will be able to see the Flipgrid has been integrated in the navigation panel as well.
Your students will also be able to see Flipgrid as an option in the navigation panel.

How to add Flipgrid Topic to a Canvas assignment
The integration of your Flipgrid and Canvas account will enable you to add Flipgrid assignments through your Canvas account. Here’s what you need to do.
Choose the Assignment you want to add the Flipgrid link to.
When you do this, a new edit menu will open up. Here you need to find Submission Type section and from its dropdown menu, select External Tool.
Once you’ve saved the Assignment, the Flipgrid extension will be available in the preview.
You can create a new Flipgrid topic here. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to add an existing Flipgrid topic using the integrated feature.
Now, you will also be able to find this Canvas integration on your Flipgrid account. Simply go to the Discussions tab, and scroll to the Groups section. Here you will see the FlipGrids that have been integrated into Canvas.
Don’t worry if you find yourself in a tough spot. Just go back and repeat the steps for a different course till you get the hang of this process. This tutorial will reduce your workload drastically by establishing a stable connection between your Flipgrid and Canvas accounts, but more importantly, enable you to optimize the best and most convenient features of both applications to curate an amazing learning experience for which your students will truly love and appreciate you.

How To Unfollow People On Instagram Fast
Have you recently followed a bunch of people on Instagram that you want to unfollow fast?
If you tried unfollowing a lot of people at one go, you will probably get action blocked by Instagram.
Otherwise, Instagram will end up disabling your following list.
So, if following people in your following list isn’t going to work, how can you unfollow people fast?
This article will guide you on the best way to unfollow people on Instagram fast without getting action blocked.
Let’s get right into it.
How to unfollow people on Instagram fastTo unfollow people on Instagram fast, you can use the “Least Interacted With” feature on your following list.
Instagram recently released a tab called, “Least Interacted With”, and you can use it to unfollow people on Instagram fast without getting action blocked.
The best way to unfollow people on Instagram fast is to utilize the “Least Interacted With” filter.
Fundamentally, the “Least Interacted With” tab shows you who you should be unfollowing (based on your low interaction with them).
Hence, if you use this feature on Instagram, they are going to be less strict on the actions that you’re carrying out (unfollowing).
This is because Instagram wants you to be aware of the people that you’re least interacting with and unfollow them.
So, if you want to mass-unfollow or unfollow people fast, you’re going to want to use this “Least Interacted With” list to do so.
Simply go down the list and find people who you don’t want to be following anymore and unfollow them one-by-one.
How to use the “Least Interacted With” featureThe “Least Interacted With” list is the best way to unfollow everyone on Instagram fast.
There are 50 users in the “Least Interacted With” list.
What you want to do is to unfollow people in this list instead of your following list.
This is because this feature is fairly new to Instagram (released in early 2023) and they are more lenient in the number of actions you can do from it.
I tried unfollowing 50 people from this list using an alternate account and I did not get action blocked — so your account will be safe!
Here’s how you can unfollow people using this method effectively.
Simply pull out the “Least Interacted With” list, go down the list and unfollow people in it.
Then, unfollow everyone (or selected people) until you’ve reached the end of the list.
After that, you’ll want to go back to your following list and pull down to refresh.
This will refresh the “Least Interacted With” list and you can unfollow people from there again.
Repeat this process 4 times (in a one-hour interval).
Once you’ve repeated the process 4 times, it’s important to wait 24 hours to do it again! Otherwise, your account may be action blocked from hitting the unfollow limit.
At this rate, you can unfollow 200 people a day using this method without getting action blocked.
Why don’t I have the “Least Interacted With” feature?A number of people do not have the “Least Interacted With” feature on their account.
If you don’t have the feature, Instagram might not have released it to you yet.
The “Least Interacted With” feature is only rolling out this feature to some people.
Since this feature is fairly new (as of early 2023), Instagram is still testing out this feature on some people, but not everyone.
How to unfollow people without the “Least Interacted With” featureIf you don’t have the ‘Least Interacted With’ feature, you can use the ‘Sort by’ feature instead.
You can filter it by the latest or earliest followed.
If you’re using the follow/unfollow strategy (which I do not recommend) you can use the ‘Latest followed’ filter to unfollow a selective number of people.
In addition, you can use the earliest filter to find the earliest people to unfollow (if you no longer want their content to be shown on your feed).
However, you cannot unfollow users repetitively using this filter unlike the “Least Interacted With” feature or you will be action blocked.
This is because the Sort by feature is not as new as compared to the “Least Interacted With” feature.
This means that you cannot abuse the Sort by feature to unfollow people because it’s directly from your following list.
So, if you’re unfollowing people using the Sort by feature, only unfollow a maximum of five users in an interval of 5 to 10 minutes.
Also, make sure to use Instagram normally after unfollowing a bunch of people (e.g. liking posts on your feed).
This will not only increase your “trust score” but it will prevent your account from getting action blocked because you’re acting like a human.
Instagram unfollow limitYour unfollow limit on Instagram depends on your “trust score”.
The maximum number of people you should unfollow a day is 200 users.
As a general rule, you should not unfollow more than 200 users a day or you will be action blocked.
However, if your trust score is high, you can unfollow up to 500 people a day without any problems.
But that doesn’t mean that you should unfollow 500 people a day. If you do so, your trust score will be negatively affected.
For example, if you didn’t engage in any follow/unfollow activity in a long time and one day you decide to unfollow a hundred users, Instagram will think that you’re using automation.
So don’t exceed the unfollow limit or your account will be action blocked.
The action block can last for several hours, a day, or more which will obstruct your unfollowing efforts.
Another thing to note is that whenever you’re unfollowing users, you want to make sure that you’re using the mobile app and not the desktop app.
This is because the desktop version of Instagram is more likely to contain scripts than the mobile app.
So if you’re carrying out actions (e.g. following, unfollowing) on the desktop version of Instagram, you’re going to have a lower ‘trust score’.
When you’re using your phone, you can carry out more actions because it’s hard to create scripts on the actual Instagram app so Instagram is more lenient on their restrictions there.
Why does Instagram block you from unfollowing multiple people? Are you wondering why Instagram blocks you from unfollowing multiple people?
Do note that if you’ve happened to be blocked from unfollowing, Instagram will block you from following as well.
This is because follows and unfollows are in the same category.
Here are the reasons for the action block and the disablement of your following list if you unfollow too many people.
To prevent automationInstagram is trying to prevent automation from happening on their platform.
You should not use any software or automation to follow/unfollow people.
If you use automation, your account will be action blocked. There are tons of people who got their accounts blocked from using automation.
In addition, you may get your account disabled (permanently banned) from Instagram.
So, if you’re trying to grow your Instagram account or follow a bunch of people, do not use automation.
However, if you’re using a trusted tool to post on Instagram, then that’s completely fine.
There are many tools that are trusted by Instagram such as Later, Buffer, and Hootsuite.
Tools that are mainly for scheduling posts on Instagram are safe to use.
There won’t be any issues regarding these tools if they are an Instagram/Facebook partner.
To check whether a certain tool is a partner of Instagram/Facebook, simply visit the Facebook Partner Directory, and search for the name of the company.
If the company appears on the search results in the directory, then their software/tool is safe to use.
However, if the company does not appear on the search results, then you’ll want to defer from using their software/tool.
If you’re using an automated tool like Jarvee who is not a partner of Facebook/Instagram, your account is at risk.
Even if you use it to schedule posts, Instagram can tell that it comes from a distrusted source and you will be action blocked.
Hence, you should always use tools that are trusted by checking whether they are a Facebook/Instagram partner.
Mitigate spamAnother reason why Instagram blocks you from unfollowing multiple people is to mitigate spam on their platform.
They want to limit the number of actions that you are doing.
For instance, if you’re unfollowing a lot of people at once and you’re not doing in a human-like manner, Instagram may think that you’re a bot and block you.
ConclusionThe best way to unfollow users fast/mass unfollow/bulk unfollow is to use the “Least Interacted With” feature.
This feature allows you to unfollow users without getting action blocked because it’s still being tested out.
If you don’t have this feature, it’s because Instagram only releases it to some people.
So, you’ll have to either wait until the feature is released to you or unfollow people at a much slower rate to prevent being action blocked.

How To Create A Membership Website Using WordPress
Do you want to create a membership website using WordPress? Perhaps you already have a wordpress website, but now you want to create one with membership of different levels? This course shows you how to create a wordpress website using wordpress right from the very start – buying the domain, to the end membership site.
We cover how to set different membership levels – so you can have some members who are free and some who pay for their subscription. You can set it to have a free trial period, and membership can be weekly, monthly, annually – you decide! You can choos the currency. We cover how to link paypal, to take subscriptions, how to customise the site to add a menu and a log in and registration button and how to add social media buttons and much much more!
You don’t need to have any previous experience of using wordpress to take this course. You may even have a wordpress website already, and you just want to add a membership option to it, or you may want to create a membership website from scratch. Either way – this course can help. We show you where and how to buy a domain, how to customise the theme for your website, how to add posts and how to add pages.
Some content can be for paying members only. Some content can be visible to all. Some content can be partially visible to all, but they need to register before gaining access to the free bits. It’s completely up to you! Membership websites are becoming increasingly popular as ‘gurus’ find a way to monetise their knowledge by bringing their private facebook groups off, into their own membership paid-for content website.
The huge benefit of the wordpress membership website that we build – is that the moment a subscriber fails to pay their ‘monthly’ or ‘annual’ subscription – then access to the parts of the website that were previously available to them immediately shuts down. So, even if they subscribe for one day and then cancel – the website ‘knows’ and will immediately shut them out, so there’s no extra vigilence needed on your part to monitor subscribers and to kick out non-paying members. It is all automated!
The course will take approx 1.5 hours to complete. It’s one of the most useful wordpress skills you can learn today. Note – the theme is free, so is the plug in. The only additional cost (if you wish to implement a membership site for yourself) will be the cost of the domain and the cost of hosting. Annually, this could be “$20” but there is no ongoing ‘cost’ to managing your membership website, so there are no hidden additional / extra costs!
Your course tutor has multiple wordpress websites and has 2 membership websites which she has built herself so none of this is theoretical but a real, practical course. One of the sites in operation today is what was made on the course. Take the course and watch how a real membership website is made in less than 2 hours from start to finish!
Goals
Build a WordPress membership website using WordPress
Understand some extremely useful plug ins and widgets for wordpress websites
Prerequisites
Have an idea of a membership site that they’d like to create
Students do not need any previous experience of using wordpress as we cover everything from scratch
How To Convert Ubuntu Into Regolith Linux
Regolith Linux isn’t your typical Linux distribution. It falls somewhere in between being a distribution and a desktop environment, as it is built on top of Ubuntu. And unlike most typical Linux distributions, Regolith doesn’t have to be installed as a standalone operating system. If you are already using Ubuntu as your operating system, then you can install Regolith on top of it for a preconfigured i3 experience.
Why Regolith Linux? If you were to install i3 manually, then you would have to configure everything yourself. This can take quite some time, depending on what you wish to achieve with it. Even then, this still doesn’t guarantee that you will be able to get GNOME apps and tools working alongside i3.
However, Regolith is built so you don’t have to edit or tweak anything to start using it, while still being able to use any GNOME app you’re used to using with default Ubuntu.
Installing Regolith on UbuntuAll you will need to install Regolith is Ubuntu, a working Internet connection, and the terminal.
First, add the Regolith repository in the form of a Personal Package Archive (PPA) by opening a terminal and entering the following command:
sudo
add-apt-repository ppa:regolith-linux/
releaseThis will permanently add the repository to your system so that you will always be able to install Regolith and update it.
Now you’re ready to install Regolith. It’s important to note, however, that how you install Regolith will depend on whether you’re using a desktop or laptop.
You will need the standard installation if you are on a desktop. Install this version with the following command:
sudo
apt
install
regolith-desktop-standardFor laptops, you will need to install the mobile version:
sudo
apt
install
regolith-desktop-mobileThe install will continue the same as if you were installing any other software in Ubuntu. You will need to restart your computer finish the installation.
Once you’ve opened the menu, you will see an option for Regolith. Select it, then log in as you normally would.
After you’re logged in, you will be greeted with your new installation of Regolith Linux!
Switching Back to Default UbuntuIf, for whatever reason, you want to switch back to GNOME, return to the login screen and open the gear menu again. Only this time, select the Ubuntu option instead of Regolith. Once you log in, your system will switch back to GNOME with everything as it was before you installed Regolith.
However, if you decide that you’re not enjoying Regolith and wish to uninstall it completely, you will need to follow the installation steps in reverse.
First, log out of Regolith and switch to the default Ubuntu session, then open a terminal and run the following command:
sudo
apt
purge regolith-desktop&&
sudo
apt
autoremoveThis will uninstall Regolith and remove all associated files. You will also want to remove the PPA from your system:
sudo
add-apt-repository--remove
ppa:regolith-linux/
releaseOnce that has completed, you can safely remove the last remaining Regolith directory:
rm
-rf
~/
.config/
regolithNow you’re free to go back to the default Ubuntu environment as if nothing ever changed.
Frequently Asked Questions 1. Is it possible to install Regolith Linux without installing Ubuntu first?Yes. If you visit the official website for Regolith Linux, you will be able to download the .iso version of Regolith and install it just as any other Linux distribution.
2. Can I customize how Regolith looks? While Regolith is preconfigured by default, there is still much you can customize. You will find customization instructions in the official documentation.
3. Does Regolith work with other Linux distributions? No. Regolith uses Ubuntu as its base and requires Ubuntu and GNOME to be installed so that it can use them as a framework.
ConclusionRegolith offers an easy way to try out a pre-configured version of an i3 window manager from the comfort of your Ubuntu system. Read on to learn how to configure and customize the Openbox window manager in Linux.

How To Spring Back Into Outdoor Exercise
Spring has arrived, and that means winter coats go back in closets, windows open, and we can finally leave the stinky sweat and guttural grunting of the gym behind. But before you limber up to run, bike, and contort yourself in the park and on the trails, make sure you’re ready for the great outdoors.
Indoors vs. outdoorsIf you’re thinking about your health, getting on a treadmill or dropping in on a spin class is a good idea any time of the year. But gyms are controlled environments, and that makes for a different workout, both physically and mentally.
“It’s easy to zone out by watching a show or listening to music on the treadmill,” says Christine Luff, author of Run for Good: How to Create a Lifelong Running Habit. “But running outside requires you to pay attention a lot more and always be aware of your surroundings. You need to be aware of cars, bikes, dogs, other runners, cracks in the sidewalk, branches or rocks on the trails, and numerous other potential hazards.”
The differences go beyond sudden agility tests. A 2014 study of 12 male cyclists found that despite conditions being relatively equal, and the participants exerting what they viewed as the same amount of effort, outdoor biking got their hearts beating faster. On the flip side, a 2023 study that put 13 experienced long-distance runners on a treadmill found they used less energy running at the same pace on a track. The study suggested this was due to the runners having to adjust to the treadmill after training heavily on tracks.
Your workout environment affects your mental health as well. While exercise in a natural area like the woods or a park can improve your self-esteem and overall mood, working out in a group can help decrease stress. Think about what you most enjoy about your exercise routine, on an emotional level, before deciding to ditch your yoga class for downward dog on your own in the park.
Ease into itPreparing for outdoor exercise starts indoors with a well-executed plan.
“Don’t get so excited about the return of nice running weather that you do too much too soon,” Luff says. “Be sure that you ease back into it, or you’ll risk an overuse injury.”
At the same time, consider adding a stretching routine to your exercise plan. Stretching isn’t required, but it can help you warm up and cool down. And if you need to stretch before your outdoor workout anyway, getting back in the habit now will save you time, and potentially injury, later.
Stay safeBefore you hit the trail, make sure the trail won’t hit back. If you’re running or cycling, walk or drive a new outdoor route the day before to avoid any surprises, such as poorly maintained sidewalks or heavy traffic. When you head out for real, wear reflective clothing and lights, day or night, to ensure you’re visible. If you need a podcast or music to go the distance, use open-ear or bone-conduction headphones so you can still hear your surroundings.
You should also carry a small first aid kit to deal with minor bumps and bruises and have some way of reaching friends and family in case of an emergency. Even a bike path in the middle of a city can be a lonely place if you’re waiting for somebody with a phone to come along.
If you’re using a machine, such as a bike, be sure you’ve given it any maintenance it needs, especially if it’s been tucked away in a garage all winter. Your equipment might need some first aid too, so keep tools and materials to make repairs with you as well.
Bring water, especially on warmer days, and dress for the weather. Wet and windy weather can be a hypothermia risk, even if the temperature is well above freezing. And if you’re going swimming or boating, wear proper safety gear and never head out without a buddy keeping an eye on you.
Get out and goAs the days get nicer, begin transitioning from indoors to outdoors—there’s no need to instantly switch from gym to woods.
“Don’t beat yourself up and put pressure on yourself to return to your previous fitness level quickly,” Luff says. “Just enjoy running in beautiful weather as you work on building up your fitness level gradually and safely.”
Start by heading out once a week and gradually add more fresh-air days to your schedule. Remember that you’re not always going to be able to get outside, so if you need to go to the gym, don’t let it bother you. One useful approach is to combine exercise and errands, if possible. If you need to go to the store, run or bike there instead of driving.
Keep practical concerns in mind, such as budgeting more time for outdoor exercise than you spend at the gym. Remember, you’ll be going places, and you may get delayed or go farther than you intend. If you’d rather not be alone, look for a social aspect to help motivate you. Joining exercise clubs and working out with friends can help you get out of the gym and introduce you to new people.
Running and cycling are some of the most common outdoor exercises, but you shouldn’t feel limited to cardio. Strength training with resistance bands and other portable equipment, bodyweight exercises, and yoga can all be done outside.
These exercises build muscles and strengthen joints, which helps reduce injury, and adding some variety can keep your workout exciting. Consider combining different types of exercises, too, perhaps by doing strength exercises at the start and end of your routine. After all, there’s only so much spring and summer to enjoy, so breathe that fresh air while you can.
