Step 1: Add the Draw App

Go to one of your existing Canva designs, or a blank canvas

Go to ‘More’ via the left side panel in the editor

Open the app so you can start using it for your designs

Step 2: Choose your drawing utensil

Canva currently has four different options for drawing utensils:

Pen tool

Step 3: Choose your settings and get drawing

You can then choose your settings including the size of the stroke, the transparency, and the color:

Once you’re happy with the settings you can start to draw on the canvas. Whether you’re using a drawing tablet, a mouse, or a touchpad you can scribble to your hearts content on the canvas.

Once you’re done scribbling you’ll need to press the ‘Done’ button at the left side of the top panel and that will make that drawing into an element.

It’s worth noting that you can use the eraser function before pressing ‘Done’ if you want to make any changes to drawing before finalizing it.

Also if you draw separate things in your drawing they will all become part of the same element once you press ‘Done’.

If you want to create multiple things that become their own element you’ll need to do drawings for each one:

Step 4: Add effects and animation

Once you’ve completed a drawing, it becomes a graphic element and can be customized in the same way that you could any other graphic element.

This means you can add effects and animation to it.

For example, you could add a ‘Glow’ shadow effect around a word that you drew:

Learn how easy it is to draw a perfect 5 point star, or 5 sided star, in Photoshop! And how to save the star as a custom shape so you’ll never need to draw it again. For Photoshop 2023 or later.

In this tutorial, I show you how to draw a perfect 5 point star in Photoshop. By “perfect”, I mean a star where the sides of the star segments line up perfectly with each other. Now Photoshop does include a few built-in star shapes, but none of them look right. So I’ll show you how easy it is to draw your own, and how to save the star as a custom shape so you’ll never need to draw it again.

Here’s what the star will look like when we’re done. Of course, you can choose any color you like:

Which version of Photoshop do I need?

Before we begin, I should point out that Adobe made changes to the shape tools in Photoshop 2023, which is what I’m using. So to follow along, you’ll need Photoshop 2023 or newer. Get the latest Photoshop version here.

Step 1: Create a new Photoshop document

Or if you are in Photoshop’s main interface, go up to the File menu in the Menu Bar and choose New:

Step 2: Select the Polygon Tool

And select the Polygon Tool from the list:

Step 3: Reset the tool’s options

And choose Reset Tool from the menu:

This should set the Tool Mode to Shape (not Path or Pixels):

The Tool Mode should be set to Shape.

And it should set the Number of Sides for the polygon to 5 (since we want a 5 point star) and the Corner Radius to 0 (so we draw a star with sharp corners):

Step 4: Choose a fill color

Step 5: Turn off the stroke

And I’ll choose the No Color option. Then I’ll press Enter (Win) / Return (Mac) to close the dialog box:

Step 6: Draw a polygon shape

Once you’ve started dragging, press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard to constrain the shape so that all five sides are the same length, and continue dragging:

You can move and reposition the shape as you draw it by still keeping the Shift key down, holding the spacebar on your keyboard (so Shift+spacebar), and dragging the shape into place. I’ll move it up a bit higher:

Then release your spacebar, but again keep the Shift key held down, and continue dragging out the rest of the shape:

When you’re done, release your mouse button, then release the Shift key, and Photoshop fills the shape with your chosen color:

Step 7: Lower the Star Ratio

At this point, we have a five-sided polygon with all five sides the same length. But how do we turn it into a star?

The answer is in the Properties panel. Here you’ll find the Star Ratio option, with an icon that looks like a star inside a larger polygon shape. By default, the value is set to 100 percent:

Notice that the edges of the polygon start to bend inward, and the star begins to appear (you’ll need to release your mouse button for the shape to update):

To convert the polygon to a perfect star where the sides of the segments line up with each other, lower the Star Ratio to 47 percent:

And now the star segments like up perfectly:

Step 8: Save the star as a custom shape

So that’s how easy it is to draw a perfect 5 point star in Photoshop. But things get even easier at this point because now that we’ve drawn the star once, we can save it as a custom shape and never have to draw it again.

But before we do, let’s create a new shape group to hold our custom shapes. Open the Shapes panel by going up to the Window menu and choosing Shapes:

The new group appears below the others. If you already created a group in the past, make sure it’s selected since we want the star shape to be added to it:

Then go up to the Edit menu in the Menu Bar and choose Define Custom Shape:

And back in the Shapes panel, the star appears as a thumbnail within the group:

Since we’ve saved the star as a custom shape, I’ll delete my original star by going to the Layers panel and dragging the shape layer down onto the trash bin:

Release your mouse button and the star instantly appears. Drag the handles to resize the star as needed, and then press Enter (Win) / Return (Mac) to accept it:

Downloading private Vimeo videos can be a little tricky as there isn’t a download option for it.

If you want to download a video that is set to private, there are some additional steps that you’ll need to take in order to do so.

In this guide, you’ll learn 6 easy steps to download a private Vimeo as a .MP4 file.

By the end of this guide, you can apply the same steps to download private videos on Vimeo in the future.

How to Download Private Vimeo Videos

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can do this.

Step #1: Inspect the page and play the video

Firstly, go to the private Vimeo video that you want to download on a Chrome browser.

You’ll see several options such as “Back”, “Reload”, and “Inspect”.

The option that you’ll want to be using is “Inspect”.

This function allows you to view the HTML and CSS of a web page, which you’ll need later on.

After you’ve selected “Inspect”, play the video for a few seconds.

This will load up additional HTML and CSS files, which will be required later on as well.

Step #2: Go to network and type “player”

On the top navigation bar of the Inspect element, select “Network”, then search for “Player”.

Secondly, on the top navigation bar of the Inspect element, you’ll see multiple tabs—Elements, Console, Sources, Network, etc.

Select the “Network” tab (the forth tab from the left of the top navigation bar).

Once you’re there, type “player” on the search bar.

There are a lot of HTML and CSS files, so this is to filter out the file that you need to use.

Once you’ve typed “player”, multiple player HTML and CSS files will show up.

Important: After you’ve searched for “player” in the Network tab, you need to refresh the page (this will load up the required HTML files).

This step is crucial for everything to work.

After you’ve searched for “player” in the previous step, you need to refresh the page.

Otherwise, the HTML file that you’ll need to be using later on will not load.

After you’ve refreshed your page, additional HTML files will appear.

These files have numbers as their title (e.g. 393999309, 394000471, 394000590).

Step #4: Save the file as a .txt document

Save the file as a .txt document by putting .txt at the back of the file name (e.g. 393999309.txt).

Then, you need to save the file as a .txt document.

In order to do so, put .txt at the back of the file name (e.g. chúng tôi and the file will be automatically converted into a .txt document.

Once you’ve saved it as a .txt document, you’ll be able to see its HTML code.

Step #5: Copy the .mp4 link

On the Notepad, search for the quality of the video that you want to save it as (e.g. 720p) using CTRL + F, and copy the .MP4 URL of it.

Open the .txt file that you’ve just saved in your respective folder.

Once you’ve opened it, you’ll see a huge chunk of text, which is the HTML code of the file.

The specific text that you’ll want to be looking for is the quality of the video (e.g. 480p, 720p, 1080p).

Let’s say that you want to save the video in 720p quality.

On the top navigation bar of the Notepad, you’ll see multiple tabs—File, Edit, Format, View, and Help.

Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + F.

Type in the quality of the video that you want to save it as (e.g. 720p).

Find the chunk of text that includes the quality of the video (e.g. 720p) and the .MP4 URL.

Example of URL to find:

Highlight the .MP4 URL, copy it, then proceed to the next step.

Lastly, paste the .MP4 URL that you’ve just copied into your browser.

After you’ve done so, the video will appear in the quality that you’ve selected.

You’ve successfully saved the private Vimeo video as a .MP4 file!


Can you download a video from Vimeo?

Yes, you can download a video from Vimeo if it is set to public.

If a video is set to public, there will be an option for you to download the video.

However, if a video is set to private, there won’t be a download option under the video.


Saving private videos on Vimeo can be a pain because there isn’t a “Download” button on it.

This is the part where you shamelessly brag.

Affiliate programs are also great for this. If, for example, you gave your followers a unique code that they could use for a discount at a certain vendor, your kit should include how many people used your code (and how much money you brought in for the brand).

Obviously, you’ll want to be as positive as possible when referring to other brands that you’ve partnered with. Now is the time to be upbeat and inspiring.

Your rates

Your rates should come at the end—that way, you’ve already shown your potential client what you’re worth it.

Whether or not you should include your rate card in your brand kit is controversial in the influencer and content creator community. Here are some things to consider.

A positive aspect of being upfront about pricing is that it shows brands that you expect to be paid for your work (free products are cool, but cash is better). That said, promising rates before discussing the nature of the work you’re doing is risky. Phrasing your prices as a “suggested” or “estimated” rate helps give you some more bargaining power.
