At first, the boys work together, dividing responsibilities between them, but as factions form, the boys descend into territoriality and animalistic cruelty.

If you’re from a certain generation, you were likely made to watch this one in English class with your peers after reading the classic novel of the same name by William Golding. I can picture the high school TV cart now, the wheels squeaking as its rolled in for an afternoon. It’s not exactly a classic, and wasn’t even reviewed particularly well, but if you want a blast from the past, you can check it out on YouTube for free.

An alcoholic salesman loses his job, and his wife leaves him and dumps all his possessions in front of his house. So he naturally decides to sell all his stuff in an impromptu yard sale.

Will Ferrell gets a serious dramatic role in this movie, and he’s very believable as a man who really does want to lose everything about himself. The yard sale is a nice metaphor for string to get a new lease on life, and it works for this movie.

In the 1930s, three men manage to sneak off a chain gang in Mississippi. The trio set off on an “odyssey” to search for a hidden treasure. Along the way, they encounter preachers, sirens, and more eccentric characters.

This rural retelling of the Greek Odyssey myth mixes in comedy, musical numbers, and some great cinematography. George Clooney and the rest of the cast also turn in some impressive performances.

Hang ‘Em High (1968)

Rating: PG-13

Run time: 111 minutes

Director: Ted Post

A gang attempts to hang a man who they believe tried to steal some of their cattle. The man, who is actually innocent of the crime, survives the lynching attempt and, as a newly inducted federal marshal, goes after the gang who tried to kill him.

Coming off his classic Spaghetti Western film trilogy, Clint Eastwood’s performance in this American-made Western definitely has some of those “Spaghetti” vibes in his character. This is just a solid Wild West movie that’s fun to watch.

Dark Star (1974)

Rating: G

Run time: 83 minutes

A spaceship and its crew are commanded to destroy rogue planets. However, one of the bombs that actually blows up planets has an AI, and it’s starting to question its life.

John Carpenter, who went on to direct classic movies like Halloween, Escape From New York, and The Thing, expanded his student film into this full-fledged feature. It definitely has a low budget but this spoof of 2001 is still funny.

My Friend Dahmer explores the teen years of Jeffrey Dahmer, who would go on to become a notorious serial killer. As a teen, Dahmer was an outsider, but he did have friends, and the story is told in part from their perspective.

Based on the 2012 graphic novel of the same name by Derf Backderf, My Friend Dahmer doesn’t shy away from the true horrors of Jeffrey Dahmer’s crimes but offers the pecular vantage point of his classmates, who saw sides of the future killer that are haunting an enlightening. A must see film if you watched Netflix’s Monster.

Find The Best New Youtube Channels Using These Free Tools

YouTube is the #1 social video platform on the web, and there are probably millions of channels to choose from. You see, finding the right channel for you might not be as easy as one thought, so with that in mind, we’ve decided to talk about the best ways to locate the perfect channels.

Yes, we know that YouTube has its own search feature, but it doesn’t give the user a lot of control. We can’t be certain of the changes the company will bring to the table in the months to come, so the best option right now is to use third-party tools.

How to discover new channels on YouTube

With the tools we’re going to talk about today, we expect readers to use them in a bid to master their search for channels on YouTube. Maybe you could be the reason why a particular creator becomes the next best thing on the platform.

CreatorSpot

YouTube Trends

1] CreatorSpot

We love to use chúng tôi because it brings to the table eight new creators every day, making it super easy for folks to discover new content. It’s very difficult to keep up with all the new videos that are released constantly on YouTube, so using CreatorSpot should make like much easier.

We should point out that the platform doesn’t use an algorithm like YouTube, and as such, it relies heavily on user submission than anything else. This is a good thing because bigger channels tend to benefit greatly from YouTube’s algorithm, while the little guys have to work that much harder.

2] Channels Stack

If you want to find educational videos on YouTube, then we wholeheartedly suggest using Channels Stack to find what you want. This website is perfect for teachers who want to showoff great content to their students.

Videos found on chúng tôi are hand-curated, and since the videos are categorized, folks can easily locate the ones that best represent their needs. For example, if you need to teach students how to cook, code, or create water from wine, then it’s all there.

3] Neverthink

What we have here is a great option for those who have no idea what to watch on YouTube, which is probably all of us when we’re bored. The videos provided by chúng tôi are all hand-picked and curated by a team of humans, and all you have to do is pick a theme and let the tool do the hard work.

This is great for avoiding YouTube’s sketchy algorithm which tends to recommend low-quality content and things you have no interest in seeing.

4] YouTube Trends

This one is pretty good because it displays all the videos that are trending for the past 15 minutes. The folks at YouTube have done a decent job in getting this page to work, but since its all about trending videos, it will likely not help you in a great deal to locate channels to your liking.

Still, if you’re not interested in using third-party avenues to find awesome channels, then this is your best bet right now.

Let us know which one is your favorite.

Rotten Tomatoes: 17%/28%

Director: J Blakeson

Writer: Susannah Grant, Akiva Goldsman, Jeff Pinkner

Cast: Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Robinson, Ron Livingston, Maggie Siff, Alex Roe

Runtime: 1 hour, 52 minutes

The 5th Wave is a science fiction action film exploring the concept of an alien invasion from a new angle. You might have seen such survival movies previously, which makes the plot predictable. Still, it is worth watching for the acting performance and action in the film. The plot begins with a spaceship hovering over the planet, followed by several attacks. The aliens plan and perform the attacks in waves, causing a different phenomenon each time.

The first wave dysfunctions all the electronic and electrical devices, causing planes to fall mid-air; the second wave causes earthquakes and tsunamis causing mass destruction. The third wave causes lethal disease, and in the fourth wave, the aliens possess the humans to kill each other. As the name suggests, the movie shows people preparing for the fifth wave. Meanwhile, the protagonist of the movie is trying to save her brother.

The 5th Wave performed moderately at the box office and received mixed reviews from the critics and audience alike. The movie is based on a novel by the same name, which has two more parts. However, there are no current plans for any sequels due to the underrated performance of the movie.

Rotten Tomatoes: 88%/85%

Director: The Wachowskis

Writer: The Wachowskis

Cast: Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, Joe Pantoliano

Runtime: 2 hours, 16 minutes

One of the most loved and revered movies of this generation, The Matrix, asks you to question reality. This science-fiction cyberpunk action movie takes place in a dystopian future where humanity is trapped in a simulated reality. The movie’s protagonist, Neo (Keanu Reeves), is aware that something isn’t right. Therefore, when he gets the chance to either know the truth or keep living a lie, he takes the red pill, which brings him back to the real world. It is then we discover that machines have now overtaken the planet and harvest humans to create energy. Meanwhile, the consciousness of every human is rendered in a computer program called the Matrix that appears real to everyone.

The Matrix was a massive success at the time of release and still feels fresh if you watch it for the first time. Keanu Reeves rose to success with the movie, along with Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss. In addition, the commercial profits opened the doors for two more sequels (and well, a resurrection too) that weren’t much liked by the audience. The Matrix series is a revolutionary movie creating ripples in cinematography and superhero movies. So, I recommend you watch this movie at least once in your lifetime.

Ender’s Game is an entertaining watch with an excellent plot and action sequences. In addition, Ender’s character arc is well established with maturity and twists. It was a high-budget movie but didn’t make enough on the big screen, delivering less than expected results. Those who have read the novel also didn’t find the movie thought-provoking. 12. Chaos Walking (2023)

The movie is set in a far future where the colonists of the planet New World have developed a condition called Nise that helps them hear each other’s thoughts. Despite an award-winning cast and a compelling story, Chaos Walking didn’t perform well at the box office. The movie failed miserably and collected only 30% of its budget, leading to scratching down the possibility of a sequel. Still, if you want to explore unique ideas about a far-fetched dystopian world, you should watch this movie.

In essence, the more watch time your videos accumulate, the higher your chances of achieving better visibility, higher search rankings, and increased subscriber engagement.

What is YouTube Watch Time?

YouTube watch time is the cumulative duration viewers spend watching your videos.

It is measured in minutes and hours, and it plays a significant role in determining the success and growth of your channel.

Why is YouTube Watch Time Important for Creators?

YouTube’s algorithm prioritizes channels with higher watch time as it signifies engaging and valuable content.

Higher watch time indicates that viewers find your videos interesting and are likelier to stay on your channel, leading to increased visibility and potential monetization opportunities.

The Impact of Watch Time on YouTube Algorithm

YouTube’s algorithm uses watch time as a critical factor in recommending videos to users. The algorithm aims to deliver personalized content that keeps users engaged and returning for more.

Channels with longer watch time are more likely to appear in suggested videos, increasing their chances of reaching a broader audience and gaining new subscribers.

Other Considerations When Buying YouTube Watch Time Quality of Watch Time

The quality of watch time is crucial for the success of your channel. High-quality watch time indicates that viewers are genuinely interested in your content, resulting in better audience retention and engagement.

Look for providers offering watch time from real viewers who are likelier to watch and engage with your videos.

Targeting Options

Consider providers that offer targeting options to reach your desired audience. Targeted watch time allows you to attract genuinely interested viewers in your niche or content category.

It helps increase the chances of building an engaged subscriber base and attracting viewers who are more likely to interact with your channel.

Delivery Speed

Prompt delivery of watch time is essential to capitalize on its momentum and visibility. Look for providers that offer fast delivery to ensure that your channel experiences rapid growth and exposure.

However, balance speed with the quality of watch time to maintain authenticity and engagement.

Safety and Compliance

Prioritize providers that adhere to safe and compliant methods of delivering watch time. Buying low-quality or fake watch time can harm your channel’s reputation and potentially violate YouTube’s terms of service.

Ensure that your chosen provider follows ethical practices and uses legitimate means to deliver watch time from real viewers.

Customer Support and Guarantees

Opt for providers that offer reliable customer support to address any concerns or inquiries. Excellent customer support ensures a smooth and satisfactory experience throughout the process.

Additionally, consider providers offering guarantees such as money-back policies to provide peace of mind and assurance of customer satisfaction.

While buying YouTube watch time can provide initial visibility and growth, it is essential to maintain audience trust and channel authenticity.

Strive to strike a balance between purchased watch time and organic growth strategies.

Consistently deliver valuable and engaging content to build a loyal subscriber base that genuinely appreciates your channel’s offerings.

Transparency and Disclosure

It is crucial to be transparent about any purchased watch time or promotional activities with your audience.

Openly disclose any collaborations or sponsored content to maintain transparency and trust. Honest communication with your viewers ensures a genuine and authentic relationship.

Long-Term Organic Growth

Buying YouTube watch time can jumpstart your channel, but it should not be solely relied upon for long-term success.

Focus on organic growth strategies such as creating compelling content, engaging with your audience, and optimizing your videos for search rankings.

These efforts and purchased watch time will contribute to sustainable growth and audience retention.

Monitoring and Analyzing the Impact of Purchased Watch Time Tracking Channel Performance

Continuously monitor and analyze the impact of purchased watch time on your channel’s performance.

Keep track of critical metrics such as watch time duration, audience retention, subscriber growth, and engagement.

Use analytics tools YouTube provides to gain insights into the effectiveness of purchased watch time and make data-driven decisions for future strategies.

Adapting and Optimizing

Use the data insights gathered from monitoring your channel’s performance to optimize your content strategy.

Identify patterns in viewer behavior, popular video topics, and engagement metrics.

Adjust your content approach to maximize the benefits of purchased watch time and enhance overall channel growth.

Experimentation and Iteration

YouTube’s landscape is ever-evolving, and audience preferences change. Embrace a mindset of experimentation and iteration to stay ahead.

Test different content formats, explore new niches, and adapt to emerging trends. You can leverage purchased watch time as a catalyst for sustained success by continuously refining your approach.

What’s more, season two is all set to kickstart from August 15.
